Advertise on Google Ads — every surface, one integration

Search, Performance Max, Display, Demand Gen and YouTube run through the same Google Ads API. Local Services Ads reporting and edits are built in too, even though Google's own API can't create a new LSA account.

Who this is for

Anyone who needs to advertise on Google Ads seriously — not just Search, but the whole surface Google now calls one product. Franchises and multi-location businesses that advertise on Google Ads across dozens of local pages fit here too, since every location can share one AI optimizer without sharing a budget. Agencies managing PPC across dozens of clients, local service businesses living or dying on Local Services Ads leads, ecommerce stores running Performance Max against a product feed, and anyone whose YouTube spend has been sitting in a separate silo from their Search account all land here for the same reason: Google Ads is the single largest advertising platform most of them touch, and it deserves to be managed like one integration instead of five separate logins.

Whether you already advertise on Google Ads at scale or you're weighing whether to advertise on Google Ads for the first time, the calculus is the same: it's usually the largest paid channel in the account, so it's the one that most rewards getting attribution right.

What you can actually do here

This is full campaign control through the standard Google Ads API — developer token, OAuth, the same access path any serious Google Ads tool uses.

  • Search, PMax, Display, Demand Gen, YouTube — one build. Set a goal (calls, leads, purchases, trials, installs, bookings, messages, store visits, awareness) and Ads and Pixels maps it to the right Google Ads campaign type, conversion action and bid strategy automatically in Basic mode. Advanced mode exposes every native setting: manual and automated bid strategies and targets, placements, device and OS controls, dayparting, keyword match types and negatives, custom conversions, lookalike-style audience expansion, experiments, bulk edits across accounts, and a raw JSON view.
  • Local Services Ads — reporting plus editing, honestly labeled. Once an LSA account exists (set up once, directly in Google's own console — the API has no create endpoint), Ads and Pixels can edit its budget, status, bid strategy, ad schedule, and location or service-type targeting, and pull its lead, conversation and verification reports into the same Results Map as every other Google campaign. First-time LSA setup is the one step that still happens outside this app.
  • A launch check that actually checks. For conversion goals — calls, leads, purchases, trials, installs, bookings, messages, store visits — the app refuses to launch until a real test conversion reaches both the Audience Vault and Google Ads. Awareness and video-view goals only need creative, audience, budget and (if a website's involved) the page tag in place.
  • Merchant Center on the current API. Product feeds sync through Google's new Merchant API, not the old Content API that started failing for new integrations on 2026-09-01.
  • AI optimizer and Keyword Planner-backed SEO. The AI optimizer shifts budget toward verified winners, and the built-in keyword research draws on the same Keyword Planner data as this page's own targeting, so paid and organic opportunities show up side by side.

If you already advertise on Google Ads directly, connecting your existing account brings its history into the Results Map immediately; a one-time tracking-template update on active campaigns adds the parameters attribution needs, with a warning anywhere Google would re-review the change. Agencies that advertise on Google Ads for many clients get the same bulk-edit view across every account, not one login per client.

How attribution actually works on Google

Every ad carries Google's tracking-template parameters — {campaignid}, {adgroupid}, {creative} — so the landing page always knows which campaign, ad group and ad sent the click; Google's own click report maps a gclid back to its ad group and ad wherever only the click ID arrived. The Audience Vault stores those IDs on the visit and carries them through to the lead, call or sale.

Credit only ever goes as deep as the evidence reaches: an ad ID gets credited to that exact ad, a campaign- or ad-group-only signal shows as "ad not known" at that level, and an unmapped click ID or UTM-only signal shows as "campaign not known" — never guessed down further. Google's own reported conversions (including any view-through or modeled numbers) sit in a separate "claimed by platforms" band next to your verified count, and anything with no ad touch at all — direct visits, branded search, word of mouth — shows as "Unattributed." This is also why your Results Map total and Google Ads' own dashboard rarely match exactly; the plain-English note on every number explains the gap.

Costs and budget

There's no platform minimum to advertise on Google Ads, and no reason to overthink the starting number — you set a daily or total budget, with a spend cap per client, split automatically across the Google surfaces you choose (Search, PMax, Display, Demand Gen, YouTube) and editable any time. Bidding is picked automatically at first; manual bid caps unlock once a campaign has roughly 50 conversions a week, because early manual caps are the most common way a new Google Ads account starves itself of data. Current Ads and Pixels plan pricing is on /pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Real answers before you make a decision.

Do I need existing Google Ads experience to start?

No. Businesses that have never used the platform before can advertise on Google Ads for the first time through an industry template — home services, ecommerce sale, local restaurant and others — that sets a working campaign structure before you've had to learn Google's own terminology.

Can Ads and Pixels create a brand-new Local Services Ads account?

No — Google's own API doesn't expose an LSA-creation endpoint, so first-time setup happens in Google's console. Once the account exists, Ads and Pixels can edit budget, bids, schedule and targeting, and pull its lead reports into your Results Map.

Does YouTube advertising need a separate connection?

No. YouTube, including connected-TV inventory, runs through the same Google Ads API as Search and Display — it's one integration covering five surfaces, not a separate product. See YouTube & connected TV for CTV partners beyond YouTube itself.

Is Ads and Pixels affiliated with Google?

No. We connect through Google's public Ads API using a standard developer token and OAuth; we're not sponsored by, affiliated with or endorsed by Google LLC. Google Ads is a trademark of Google LLC.

What access level does the Google Ads API integration need?

Standard, unlimited access — the tier Google grants after a manual Required Minimum Functionality audit. Test and Basic access levels exist below that; Ads and Pixels is built to Standard so nothing is rate-limited by account tier.

Can I move an existing Google Ads account over without rebuilding campaigns?

Yes. Connecting an existing account pulls its history into reporting immediately; only active campaigns that need attribution parameters get a one-time tracking-template update, and the app flags anywhere that triggers a Google review.

What if I only want to advertise on Google Ads and nothing else?

That's fine — you don't have to connect every network. Google Ads works as a standalone integration with its own Results Map, its own AI optimizer, and its own reporting; other channels are opt-in whenever you're ready.

How is Merchant Center handled for Shopping and PMax?

Through Google's current Merchant API. The older Content API stopped accepting new integrations on 2026-09-01, so product feed sync is built on the API Google is actually keeping.

Does the AI optimizer touch Local Services Ads too?

Only within what the LSA API allows — budget, bid strategy, schedule and targeting on an existing account. It won't create campaigns there, because Google's API doesn't let anything do that yet.

Is there a minimum budget to advertise on Google Ads through this?

No platform minimum is set by us; Google's own auction sets a practical floor that varies by keyword and industry, and Basic mode shows the realistic range for your goal before you commit spend.
