YouTube ads today, connected TV coming next

YouTube runs through the same Google Ads API as Search and Display — fully live. Samsung, Roku, Vibe and other CTV partners are scoped and on the roadmap, shown here honestly as coming.

Who this is for

YouTube ads fit almost any business already running Google Ads — it's not a separate channel to evaluate, it's a surface inside the same account, so the honest question is whether video and CTV inventory should be part of the mix, not whether to "add YouTube." Brands building awareness at the top of a funnel, agencies running full-funnel Google Ads accounts, and anyone curious about connected TV before the rest of the CTV ecosystem connects here fit best; if a full connected-TV DSP is the immediate priority, the integrations below are scoped but not live yet, so today's honest answer is YouTube now, the rest later.

What's live: YouTube through Google Ads

YouTube ads — including connected-TV inventory served through YouTube itself — run through the standard Google Ads API, confirmed as the same product, not a separate integration. That means:

  • Full campaign control, targeting Google's GOOGLE_TV inventory alongside standard YouTube placements, using the same Basic/Advanced workflow as Search and Display.
  • Smart Bidding and reporting through the same account, so YouTube spend shows up next to Search and Shopping in one Results Map instead of a separate video-only view.
  • The same attribution rules: YouTube ads carry Google's tracking-template parameters ({campaignid}, {adgroupid}, {creative}) and gclid, so click-based conversions credit the exact ad, campaign-only signals show as "ad not known," and Google's own view-through or modeled numbers sit in a separate "claimed by platforms" band — never blended into the verified count.
  • The AI optimizer treats YouTube spend like any other Google Ads surface, shifting budget toward what the Audience Vault verifies is actually converting.

Full detail on the shared Google integration is on the Google Ads page.

What's coming: connected TV beyond YouTube

Real CTV inventory exists well beyond YouTube, and each platform below has a documented developer path we've actually read — none of it is connected yet, so none of it appears as live anywhere on this site.

  • Samsung Ads — a genuinely self-serve DSP API (campaigns, flights, creatives, bidding, data segments); the strongest self-serve CTV option we found.
  • Roku — its Ads API supports reporting and custom-audience creation today; campaign creation is still rolling out on Roku's own side, so this would land here as reporting first.
  • Vibe.co — a self-serve tier (measurement, reporting, audience sync, conversions) with no approval needed; full campaign buying needs a separate partnership conversation with Vibe for "embedded buying."
  • StackAdapt and MNTN — StackAdapt's API needs an existing partner relationship; MNTN's public docs currently show reporting only, with no confirmed campaign-management endpoints.
  • Amazon DSP (Fire TV, Prime Video) — covered under Amazon Ads, reached through the same partner-approved DSP integration.

Each of these moves from "coming" to "reporting" or "live" on this page the moment the integration actually ships — not before, and not based on a partner announcement alone.

Costs and budget

There's no platform minimum to run YouTube ads through Google Ads — budget is set and auto-split the same way as the rest of the Google Ads integration, with a spend cap per client. CTV partner minimums vary widely once those integrations ship; Amazon DSP's approximate agency-seat entry runs $5,000–$10,000 a month per current research, unverified and subject to change, which is a useful ballpark for what "managed CTV" tends to cost industry-wide. Current Ads and Pixels plan pricing is on /pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Real answers before you make a decision.

Is YouTube advertising a separate product from Google Ads here?

No — YouTube ads run through the exact same Google Ads API and the exact same account as Search, Display and Shopping. There's nothing extra to connect.

When will Samsung, Roku or Vibe be live for connected TV?

They're scoped, not connected yet. Samsung's is the most self-serve of the group; Roku and Vibe both have real self-serve tiers for reporting and audiences today, with full campaign buying pending further build work on our side. No date is published because none of it depends only on us.

Can I buy connected TV inventory today, some other way?

Not through a live Ads and Pixels integration yet. Track a CTV campaign as a manual channel in the meantime — a tracked link and promo code, measured through the Audience Vault — until a direct integration ships.

Does the Google Ads integration cover connected-TV inventory inside YouTube itself?

Yes — Google's GOOGLE_TV inventory target is part of the standard Google Ads API and is included in the live YouTube ads integration today, no separate connection needed.

Is Ads and Pixels affiliated with Google, Samsung, Roku or Vibe?

No. We build against each platform's public developer API as it becomes available; we're not sponsored by, affiliated with or endorsed by Google LLC, Samsung, Roku Inc. or Vibe.co. Each name is a trademark of its owner.

Is there a minimum budget to run YouTube ads through this?

No platform minimum is set by us; Google's own auction sets a practical floor, and Basic mode shows the realistic range for your goal before you commit spend — the same as every other live YouTube ads campaign type.

Why show unreleased CTV partners on this page at all?

Because hiding a roadmap isn't the same as not having one, and agencies planning next year's channel mix deserve to see what's coming and roughly why, not just what's shippable today.

Will CTV audiences sync from the same Audience Vault as YouTube?

That's the plan for every CTV partner once each one ships — the same first-party Audience Vault segments already syncing to YouTube through Google Ads are built to extend to Samsung, Roku and Vibe rather than requiring a separate audience export per platform.
